Young Readers Choice Awards 2015

Back in April students in Grades 4-6 across the U.S and Canada voted on which author would win the 2015 Young Reader’s Choice literary award by reading the books and voting for their favorite.

The votes are finally in and the winner of the 2015 YRCA junior division is “Wonder" by R.J. Palacio. Thank you to all the students that read the books and submitted votes.

The winner of the library contest is Malcolm G. in 4-1!

Malcolm correctly guessed that Wonder would win the award.

Exactly how many books are in the Glen Allan Library? Well the students put their thinking caps on and gave their best guesses. There were SO many close guesses, but these students were the closest to guessing that the library had 12,102 books.
