Borrowing Guidelines

How many books can I borrow?

Kindergarten: 1 book

Grade 1 and 2:  2 books

Grade 3, 4, 5 and 6: 3 books

How long can I keep my books?

Students may borrow materials for a loan period of two weeks.

Can I renew my books?

Of course you can! You may renew your books if you haven't finished reading them and as long as no one else has a hold on them. See Miss. Gauchier to renew.

What if my dog eats my library book or I drop it in a puddle?

When ever you check a book out from the library, you are responsible for it, but I do understand that accidents happen. If something does happen to your library book, come see Miss. Gauchier in the library as sometimes I can fix it, if not you will have to pay a small replacement fee.

Yikes! I lost my library book!

Again come see me in the library. I will ask you to look in your classroom, your desk, backback and at home. Books can often get misplaced in one of these places. If you have looked high and low and you still can't find it, I can check to see if it got placed back on the shelf by mistake. However, If your book is not on the shelves, you are responsible for paying the replacement fee. If the book turns up later and is still in good condition, I will refund your money.
